Bhubaneswar, Jun 26: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his deputies, KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida embarked on a three-day tour of New Delhi on Wednesday.
"In his first visit to Delhi after taking oath as CM of Odisha, Majhi would meet President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various issues related to the state,” an official statement said.
The Chief Minister and the Deputy CMs are also slated to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, among others, in the National Capital.
Majhi will seek cooperation of the Central government for the all-round development of Odisha.
CM Mohan Majhi and 15 others, including Deputy CMs Singh Deo and Parida, took the oath of office and secrecy on June 12 at a grand function held at Janata Maidan here, forming the first BJP government in the State.
