Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: While history is being amp-scripted in the spiritual ecology of Bharat with the consecration of Ram Lalla at his birthplace Ayodhya today, the people of Odisha are not behind in celebrating the event.

Pujas at all Hanuman temples, flying of saffron flags with Hanuman photos, chanting of Jaya Shri Ram, and distribution of Prasad all marked the celebration of the Pran Pratishtha Utsav in the nook and corner of the State.

People have lit earthen lamps and installed Kalasa by drawing muruja in front of their houses. In institutions, people are celebrating the day by singing devotional songs. Bells in temples continued ringing with visits of devotees since morning.

In Bhubaneswar, people visited the Ram Temple, 108-Hanuman Temple, and all other temples and offered prayers.

On behalf of Hindu organizations, prasad was distributed among devotees at temples. Feasts are being organized at some temples, which will be served as lunch.

"After 500 hundred years, we have got Lord Ram at His birthplace. There is no auspicious day than this. We pray Lord Ram bless one all," said a devotee, who visited Ram Temple.
