Odisha Budget 2024-25: Chief Minister Seeks Public Suggestions

Bhubaneswar, June 20: With all eyes on the upcoming Odisha Budget 2024-25, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has urged people to offer their suggestions and feedbacks. 

Majhi termed the current government as "people's governement" saying public feedback is very important in preparing the budget. 

"The Finance Department has always taken the feedbacks from the representatives of different sections of the society into consideration for the pre-budget preparation. The current government is people's government," the Chief Minister said.

"Therefore, getting public feedback is necessary for budget preparation. Budget preparation needs to be made more open and participatory through information and communication technology," Majhi said further.

The CM has requested the people to send their feedbacks through a special web portal of the Finance Department, through e-mail, WhatsApp and SMS.

The Finance Department has requested the public, civil society, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to actively participate in the budget preparation of the state government.

How to send your suggestions/feedbacks:

The Finance Department has invited suggestions on a specific framework to gather feedback from the public for the preparation of the Long Term Budget 2024-25, which is available in the web portal -- https://budget.odisha.gov.in/.

You can send your suggestions through the email -- odisha.budget@gov.in.  

Budget-related feedbacks can also be sent through WhatsApp (+91 9438161111), social medias -- 'X' (@FdOdisha), Facebook (@FinanceOdisha) and Instagram (@fdodisha).

The facility will be available from June 20 (Thursday) to July 5 (Friday).
