Odisha Bhawan In Delhi Declared Unsafe, To Be Demolished Soon

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: The Odisha Bhawan in the national capital New Delhi will be demolished soon as the State government declared it unsafe following due inspections. 

According to the information, experts appointed by the State government inspected three Odisha Government-run residential buildings, Odisha Niwas, Odisha Sadan, and Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi to assess if they were safe to live. The team found Odisha Bhawan in unsafe condition and recommended the State government for demolition. 

Earlier on April 19, 2022, an inspection report suggested its demolition in two to three years. Based on this report, another inspection was conducted on August 28, 2024. This time the report also stated that Odisha  Bhawan is unsafe for living.
