Bhubaneswar, Jan 19: With the date of the much-awaited consecration of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya approaching fast, people from across the country, including Odisha, have started making beelines to the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama.
According to the information, Odia people from different parts of Odisha have reached Ayodhya to visit the Ram Temple, which will be consecrated on January 22.
"We have come from Mayurbhanj to see our Lord Ram and the magnificent temple. We are very that we have now Ram Temple," said a man from Mayurbhanj who arrived at Ayodhya today.
Besides, a team of youth is on a trek to Ayodhya. While the team is scheduled to reach Ayodhya on January 24, some Ganjam people residing in Gujarat's Surat have already reached the city to visit the temple.
Odia people from other parts of Odisha have reached the pilgrim city in Uttar Pradesh.
It may be noted that an idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated in the newly built Ram Temple at 12.30 pm on January 22 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thousands of saints and monks will grace the occasion.
