Odia Girl Assault Case: DGP YB Khurania Reaches Out To Delhi Police Commissioner

Bhubaneswar, Oct 14: Odisha DGP YB Khuarania has reached out to Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, over the alleged gangrape of an Odia girl in the National Capital.

Odisha Police, in a statement, has said that the case is being followed up with "seriousness and sensitivity", adding that they are in touch with the family members of the survivor and are also following up on the progress of the investigation with Delhi Police.

"Arrangement has been made to facilitate movement of family members from Bhubaneswar to Delhi. All necessary steps are being taken," the statement said.

According to a report, the survivor's aunt, along with a police official, are heading to Delhi. The report also says that the survivor will return to Odisha after the investigation of the incident. 

As per reports, the 34-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Delhi and found in a semi-conscious state at Sarai Kale Khan in the early hours of October 11. She was reportedly admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
