Nuapada: Pangolin Rescued; Teacher Among 3 Detained

Nuapada, Jan 21: The forest department officials have arrested three miscreants in the smuggling of a huge pangolin from the Nangalboard area of Sinapalli range in Nuapada district this morning.

The miscreants have been identified as Ghatmal primary school teacher Dinesh Majhi, his relative Trupana Majhi and Judhistir Danta of Indagaon in Chhattisgarh. 

Acting on a tip-off, the Sita river Tiger forest sleuths and Sinapalli forest department raided and seized one pangolin, two bikes and two mobile phones from the miscreants. 

The rescued pangolin weighs 12 kg in weight.
