Bhubaneswar, Apr 18: The Election Commission of India (ECI) today issued a notification for the fourth phase of elections in the country and the first phase of polls in Odisha.
Odisha will go to polls in a total four phases on May 13, 20 and 25, and June 1. The notification which will be issued issued by the ECI today will work for the May 13 elections in Odisha and other parts of the country.
On May 13, there will be voting for the four Lok Sabha constituencies- Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Brahmapur, and Koraput and 28 Assembly segments under them in the State.
After the notification, filing of nominations for the LS and Assembly seats for the May 13 polls began today and will continue till April 25. Scrutiny of nominations will be done on April 26 and the date for withdrawal of candidature is April 29.
Voting will be conducted from 7 am to 6 pm on May 13. Sheds and drinking water will be provided to voters at the booths.
