Nor'wester To Bring Respite From Intense Heatwave In Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 6: After a long spell of intense heatwave, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms in the next few days, Informed IMD on Monday.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 KMPH very likely to occur at one or two places of Odisha.

Due to these thunderstorm activities, there will be a considerable drop in the maximum temperature in Odisha offering the much-needed relief from the intense heatwave.

Meanwhile, yesterday, temperature rose to 43 degree Celsius and above at 12 places in Odisha with Titilagarh being the hottest place of the state as it boiled at 45°C.
