NAC Status Demand: Birmaharjpur Locals Take To Streets

Subarnapur, Feb 28: Tension also prevailed in Birmaharajpur subdivision aea in Subarnapur district as locals expressed their ire over the State government's apathy in declaring NAC status to the subdivisional town. 

In protest, locals disfigured protraits of Chief Minister at different places in the town. 

People gathered at different places and shouted slogans against the State government's apathy. They demanded that the Chief Minister declare the Birmaharajpur as an NAC without further delay. 

"We have been demanding NAC status to Birmaharajpur for long. The State government declared 34 new NACs yesteday. But Birmaharajpur is not in that list. We have been neglected by the State government," alleged the locals.
