Bhubaneswar, July 4: After 22 days of taking oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi has officially moved into CM office at Lok Seva Bhawan here, Thursday.
The Chief Minister's office is on the third floor of Lok Seva Bhawan. CM Majhi moved into his chamber in traditional fashion as Hindu rituals were performed with pujas, mantras and other customaries.
Former CM and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik used to sit in the chamber. The only change being made was the placement of CM's table and chair.

Notably, the State Guest House had been the temporary Office for CM Majhi for the past 22 days -- since his oath-taking June 12.
"Cultural Progress Along With Material Development To Be Prioritiesed"
After moving into his official chamber at the Lok Seva Bhawan, CM Majhi gave a gist of the government's vision. "The priority will be given to cultural progress along with material development," said Majhi.
"The promotion, growth and preservation of Odia 'Asmita' (pride) will be emphasised. Steps will be taken to reorganise and increase the efficiency of literature, music, drama and fine arts academies," he said, adding: "Odissi Research Center will be made operational."
CM Majhi also assured that focus will also be on the growth and systematic development of libraries as well as the promotion of odia language and literature. He further said, "A translation academy will be established for the growth and promotion of Odia language and literature."
"An Odia 'Bhasa Bhawan' -- 'Bhasa' stands for language -- and 'Asmita Bhawan' will be established along with the formation of language commission," said Majhi.
Keeping the vision of promoting Odia language, Majhi said, "All the government works will be done in Odia. A language act will be amended if required, to promote the use of Odia language in Govt works."
Majhi also stressed on the development of various Odia cultures. "Sanskruti Bhawans will be built in every district to promote the cultures of the districts."
The Chief Minister also said the government will work towards the development of Odia heritage. "A Paika Academy as well as a memorials will be built. Importance will be given for the development of various heritage places in the state," said Majhi. "All the works will be done with the help of people and their suggestions."
CM Majhi also invited suggestions from people on what needs to be done for Odia 'Asmita'. "The state will be administered in Odia language. For this purpose, the official language law will be strictly followed. If necessary, the law will be strengthened by making necessary amendments," he stressed.
"Arrangements will be made to facilitate the widespread use of the Odia language at both the government and private sectors," he added. CM Majhi has directed all the departments to present the documents to him in Odia language.
