Sambalpur, Sept 5: Observing Ganesh Puja is a religious activity, but for some, this is a way to make money for their own benifits.

And an example of the same has been seen in Khetrajpur, Sambalpur.

Several miscreants set Jayant Meher's bikes on fire after the man reportedly denied them to give money as a contribution for their Ganesh Puja celebrations.

A few men reportedly went to Meher's house Wednesday evening to ask for Ganesh Puja contribution. However, Meher denied to contribute for some reasons.

In rage, the miscreants returned to Meher's house late at night and set his bikes on fire.  The fire then spread to a closeby cycle and a few cement bags. Getting the information, fire brigade arrived at the scene and contained the fire.

Meher has filed a complaint in this connection at Khetrajpur Police Station and alleged that this was the reaction of him denying to contribute for their Ganesh Puja celebrations.
