Miscreants Hurl Bombs, Snatch Away Rs 14L From Cattle Traders

Dhenkanal, Apr 5: In what indicates lawlessness is at its peak, miscreants opened fire, hurled bombs, and snatched away a whopping Rs 14 lakhs from cattle traders at a weekly haat in the Kamakshyanagar area in Dhenkanal district yesterday.

The incident occurred at Kamakshyanagar- Jirala weekly haat. 

According to the information, as many as five miscreants intercepted a Bolero van and opened two rounds of fire at the driver. After that, they hurled a few bombs there to terrorize the traders. Then, they snatched away all the money from the traders and drove away the Bolero. A total of Rs 14 lakh were snatched away by the miscreants. 

The traders belonged Badasahi area in the Mayurbhanj district.

Based on a complaint, police reached the spot and started an investigation.
