Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates Visits Maa Mangala Slum In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: Microsoft co-founder and eminent philanthropist Bill Gates arrived in Bhubaneswar yesterday evening.

Today, Gates visited Maa Mangala Basti in Bhubaneswar and discussed about basic amenities with slum dwelllers. 

According to sources, Gates is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
He is also likely to visit Krushi Bhawan in the State Capital today  and review how the Krushi Samiksha Kendra is functioning.

According to sources, the Krushi Samiksha Kendra is functioning with assistance from the Bill Gates Foundation. This centre is providing vital information regarding integrated farming to the farmers.

The Bill Gates Foundation had inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government in 2021, sources said.
