MBBS Second-Year Student Ragged In MKCG MCH!

Berhampur, Feb 12: An incident of ragging has reportedly occurred in one of Odisha's premier health service facilities, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, here.  

A second-year MBBS student has alleged that two senior students beat him and tortured him even though he committed no mistake. 

The student's father has tweeted on his X, formerly known as Twitter. 

According to the complaint, Rudra Rout, a second-year MBBS student, had gone to attend a band party rehearsal programme on the medical campus on Friday night. After rehearsal, Rudra gave a lift to two fourth-year MBBS students in his vehicle and dropped them near the police outpost on request. However, they beat him severely there. He fell unconscious.

The family has filed a complaint at the Baidyanathpur police station here, sources said.
