Mayurbhanj, Sept 26: In a tragic incident, a woman died in a tusker attack taking the death tally to four in three days.
The incident took place in Radhikasol village in Betanati in the Baripada range.
Besides, another person is critical in an attack by the same tusker. The critical person has been admitted to the PRM Medical College & Hospital in Baripada.
This is reportedly the same tusker that has killed three persons in two days prior to the incident.
The tusker, reportedly coming from West Bengal before entering Mayurbhanj borders, wreaked havoc Monday in Deuli, Rasgovindpur and Betanati range.
According to reports, a person died and two ended up in critical condition in Suliapada police station area in the tusker attack Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Raghunath Hembram from Sunpuria village, while the injured persons were identified as Luski Soren from Pokharia village and Sarbeswar Singh from Tadaki village.
The tusker had then headed to Ulidihi village in Gholamuhan GP under Morada police station limits Tuesday morning. A woman, identified as Sakra Hembram, died in the attack.
Later the tusker entered Betanati forest range and continued its havoc leaving Anua village's Suga Mohanta in critical condition.
