Manoj Ahuja Assumes Charge As Chief Secretary Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 30: Senior IAS officer Manoj Ahuja assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of Odisha On Sunday. He took the charge from PK Jena, who completed his extended six-month service in the top administrative post today.  

Ahuja, an IAS officer of the 1990 batch,  has been appointed as the Chief Secretary by the new BJP Government. 
Ahuja is expected to take the State's administrative scenario forward given his long experience. 

He had been on Central deputation since 2017. 

He has already successfully discharged duties as Special Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) and Chairman, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). 

The Odisha cadre officer also discharged duties successfully as Secretary of key departments like Cooperation, Steel and Mines, Sports and Youth Affairs and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare in the Odisha government.
