Man Tied, Woman Killed In Koraput Village

Koraput, Nov 4: In a terrific incident, miscreants reportedly killed a woman after tying her husband with a pole in a village in Koraput district late on Monday night.

The ghastly act occurred in Hariamunda village under Lamtaput block in the district.

According to the information, the woman and her husband were way back home from an Aadhaar Centre when miscreants intercepted them and attacked them. They tied the man with a pole and then killed the woman with a sharp weapon. The miscreants looted a gold chain from the woman.

While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be known, it is suspected that a past rivalry might have led to the murder.

Police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
