Man Killed, Woman Injured In Jumbo Attack In Angul

Angul, May 21: In another incident of man-animal conflict, a man was killed and another person was critically injured in elephant attacks at two different places in Angul district this morning. 

The deceased has been identified as Prafulla Gochhayat of Tulasipal under the Talcher forest range. He had gone to the cremation ground of the village to attend a call's nature when an elephant came and trampled him to death.  

The second incident of the jumbo attack occurred at Nua Kheta village under the Bantala block. Here, a woman was critically injured. She is now undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
