Mayurbhanj, Dec 14: A man was arrested for betraying a woman on the pretext of marrying her in Satakosia under Mahulidiha police station limits in Thakuramunda block under Mayurbhanj district.

Dukhabandhu Hembram (27) was involved in a romantic relationship with his sister-in-law's cousin, Jyotshnarani Ichagutu(30).He had promised to marry Jyotshna. Owing to the relationship the accused had taken monetary help from her. He would ask her money to meet his educational needs.   

According to information, when Jyotshna nudged Hembram for marriage he declined her proposal for alliance. 

Consequently, she lodged a complaint against him in Mahuldiha police station. Acting on the complaint, police arrested and court forwarded Hembran under section 376(2).
