Bhubaneswar, June 28: The name, 'Make in Odisha', the State government programme meant to attract investments to Odisha's industrial sector, may be changed to 'Utkal Investment Summit'.
Industries Minister Sampad Swain hinted in this regard after attending the third counselling meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) here on Friday.
"Issues relating to investments in Odisha's industry sector were discussed at the third Counselling meeting of the CII. We have targeted to attract domestic investments worth Rs 2 lakh crore and foreign direct investment (FDI) of 2 million dollars for our State. We will also encourage startup business under the Utakal Investment Summit," said the Minister.
When asked if the Utkla Investment Summit is the new name of Make in Odisha Conclave, the Minister said, "It will happen in the coming days. You will be informed whenever the name is changed."
The Minister also stated that plans are afoot to further develop the industrial corridors of Rourkela, Paradip, Dhamra and Baleswar by 2027.
