Major Jolt To BJD; Badamba Block Chairman, Sarpanches, Samiti Members Join BJP

Badamba, Dec 2: In a major jolt to Cuttack district's Badamba unit of BJD, Badamba block Chairman Raghupati Mohanty and his team joined the ruling BJP today. 

Mohanty and his team's shifting to the BJP has caused major political damage to BJD Coordination Committee Chairman and former MLA Debi Prasad Mishra. BJP has bloomed in Badamba prominently, according to political analysts. 

According to the information, block chairman Mohanty and his assiciate leaders and workers joined the saffron party under the leadership of local MLA Bijaya Dal Behera and BJP State president Manmohan Samal. 

Maniabandha Zilla Parishad Zone-31 Member Nayana Sahoo also quit the BJD and joined the BJP. Besides, 11 Sarapanches of Badamba block and 24 Samita Members of Badamba block and nine Sarapanches of Narasinghapur block joined the BJP. 

Badamba block BYJD president Alok Sahoo also joined the BJP.
