Kumki Elephant 'Yashoda' Succumbs During Treatment For Serious Illness

Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: The Kumki elephant 'Yashoda' succumbed to serious illness while undergoing treatment at Jenabil.

Yashoda had been shifted from Chandaka Sanctuary to Similipal six months ago. Yashoda was suffering from illness since her arrival at Similipal.

After her illness got serious three months ago, she was undergoing treatment by many specialist veterinary doctors. 

However, the doctors failed to cure Yashoda, and the elephant finally breathed her last Tuesday.

She was 60 years of age when she died.
