Notably, Suryabanshi Suraj was on a one-day visit to Keonjhar Wednesday.

He inspected the location in Ranki, where the stadium will be built. The Sports Minister also checked all the related documents.

"Our Chief Minister has sent me here to look after the situation as he is eager on the development of sports in Keonjhar," the Sports Minister added.

The sports complex will help the district find sports talents, who don't have a platform to showcase or improve their skills.

"Stadiums will be built in Panchayat levels and a worldclass sports complex will be built near Keonjhar town," CM Majhi had said during his speech at Karanjiapada Football Ground near Raikala -- his birth place.
