Kendrapara, Dec 19: Over 20 students were injured in a honeybee attack in the Fakirabad Primary School at Derabis in Kendrapara district on Thursday. 

According to the information, an annual athletic event was underway in the school playground when many honeybees came from a nearby hive and attacked them suddenly. Children soon ran for hither and thither for safety. However, more than 20 students were injured in the attack. 

School authorities rushed the injured students to the Derabis Community Health Centre first. However, two of the injured students were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH)as their condition became critical.
