Jharsuguda, Apr 19: At least one person drowned and six others went missing after a country boat ferrying them capsized in the middle of the Mahanadi in the Lakhanpur area in Jharsuguda district this afternoon.
According to the information, the boat was ferrying 50 people from one side to another side of the river when it capsized in the mid-water.
The deceased is a woman. However, her identity has not be ascertained yet.
ODRAF and fire personnel have reached the spot and started a search operation.
