Jajpur Road Mishap: Identity Of 2 Deceased Ascertained

Jajpur, Apr 16: The identity of two deceased, who succumbed to injuries last night in a road mishap in Jajpur has been ascertained.

According to the information,  Five people were killed and many injured when a passenger bus they were travelling in fell from a flyover in Odisha's Jajpur late last night. 

According to officials, the ill-fated bus was traveling from Puri towards West Bengal when the incident took place.

The two deceased have been identified as Achintya Maiti and Uttam Maiti and the identity of three others is yet to be ascertained.

"27 people were discharged after getting primary treatment in SCB Medical and College, the Odisha govt has made arrangements to send them back home", said SCB registrar Abinash Rout. 

"On the other hand, in the accident five were severely injured and they are under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Two out of the five are in very critical condition. Other than this, Fourteen people are admitted to the orthopedic department, " he added.
