Illegal Wood Worth Rs 80K Seized In Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Apr 3: Acting on a tip off, an illegal wood carrying vehicle was seized by the forest officials on the National Highway 10near Kolimati in Ghatagaon range under Keonjhar district this morning.

The Scorpio was carrying illegal timbre estimated to be Rs 80,000 from Samantrapur village under Dhenkikoti section here. 

Sensing the forest officials, the wood mafias absconded, leaving the Sports utility vehicle (SUV) there with the illegal wood. 

The foresters have seized the vehicle and launched a manhunt to nab the mafias.
