Bhubaneswar, Dec 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will come on a two-day visit to Odisha in the last week of the current month, probably between December 28 and 30, informed BJP State President Manmohan Samal on Thursday.

Samal, however, said the exact date of his visit will be confirmed only after the program is finalized. He said the Union Home Minister may visit Sambalpur and attend an MLA training programme.

Shah is likely to inaugurate some new projects and lay the foundation stone for some proposed projects, said Samal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha twice in January 2025.

According to the information, the Prime Minister has already visited Odisha thrice after the general elections conducted in May-June this year. He graced the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government on June 12. He came to the State and launched the State government's flagship programme, Subhadra Yojana, on his birthday on September 17.  After that, he came to the State and attended the DG/IGP Conference in November.

According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will pay Odisha a three-day visit from January 8 to 10 to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammilani.

Sources also revealed that Modi will come on a two-day visit from January 28 to 29 to attend the 'Utkarsha Odisha Conclave'.
Many view that the frequent visits of Shah and Modi to Odisha will be a game-changer in enhancing the State's economic growth.
