Bhubaneswar, Apr 24: Heat wave conditions prevailed in many parts of Odisha, with Balasore town recording the highest temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius by 11:30 am on Wednesday.
Balasore was followed by Bhubaneswar at 41 degree Celsius, Chandbali at 40 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda at 39.2 degree Celsius, Keonjhar and Rourkela at 37.6 degree Celsius, Sambalpur at 36.7 degree Celsius, Hirakud at 36 degree Celsius, Puri and Gopalpur each at 35.2 degree Celsius and Paradip at 34.6 degree Celsius.
In a brief respite from the scorching heat, rainfall has been recorded in 34 cities across Odisha on Sunday. The highest 34 millimetre has been recorded in Bargarh district.
