Rayagada, Apr 27: Miscreants snatched gold chain worth Rs 2.30 lakh weighing around 35 grams from a woman near the Women's college at Goutamnagar in Rayagada district on Saturday.
According to the information, the woman was going alone. When she was at a secluded place behind the Women's college the miscreants snatched her gold chain which she was wearing.
Soon after the miscreants fled the scene.
Police started an investigation into the matter.
