The development was confirmed by Maharaja Jam Saheb of the erstwhile Nawanagar Royal family in a statement.

"Today, on Dussehra, I am equally happy, because I have found a solution to one of my problems and its success is Ajay Jadeja, who has accepted to be my heir. Ajay Jadeja taking up the responsibility of serving the people of Jamnagar is truly a boon for the people of Jamnagar," the statement read.
