Farmer Couple Dies After Being Hit By Unknown Vehicle In Balangir

Balangir, July 3: A man and his wife died after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Patrapali square under Muribahal police station in Balangir district this morning.

The deceased farmer couple have been identified as Gambhir Rana and his wife Gita Rana. 

According to the information, the farmer couple along with their cow were on their way to their farmland  when they were hit by an unknown vehiclea and they died on spot. The accident was so severe that a cow was also killed on the spot.

A pal of gloom descended in the area following the tragic accident.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started the investigation.

Irate locals staged a road blockade along Raipur-Gopalpur NH-59 demanding the seizure of the vehicle and compensation to the family members of the deceased.
