Fake Call Centre Busted In Bhubaneswar, Six Detained

Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: Odisha Police busted a fake call centre at an apartment in Sundarpada area here on Wednesday and detained six people in this connection.

After getting input, a joint team of cyber police and police personnel of Airfield Police Station conducted a raid at the Flat No- 205 A of Kanchan apartment in Sundarpada area and busted the fake call centre this morning.

The police seized several digital devices, including a laptop and mobile phones from the spot. 

As per the preliminary investigation, six young people were running the fake call centre to cheat people by sending malicious emails and links, a senior police officer said.

Further investigation into the alleged fake call centre is underway, he added.
