Elephant Dies Of Electrocution In Rourkela

Rourkela, Sept 11: An elephant died of electrocution in the forest near Balanda panchayat of Lathikata block under Rourkela forest division. 

According to the reports, the tusker ventured out of its forest habitat last night in search of food and came in contact with a live wire and was electrocuted to death.

Forest department staff recovered the carcass of the elephant and sent it for autopsy.
