Jharsuguda, Apr 25: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday arrived in Odisha to kick off the BJP's poll campaign in the State.
The Minister arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda on a special flight at around 4.30 PM. Senior BJP leaders Jual Oram, Suresh Pujari and other welcomed him at the Airport. From there, he will travel to Sonepur in a helicopter.
Shah will address a public meeting at the Rameswaram Stadium in Sonepur within the Balangir Lok Sabha constituency.
After the public meeting at Sonepur, the Union Home Minister will travel to Bhubaneswar via Jharsuguda and stay the night in the State capital.
Odisha will be voting simultaneously for its 147-seat Assembly along with the elections for the 21 Lok Sabha seats.
The voting dates have been scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
