New Delhi, Mar 28: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda held the party's core committee meeting for the state of Odisha on Thursday ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and Odisha Assembly elections.
According to sources, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal, Odisha incharge Vijay Pal Tomar, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, party national vice president Baijayant Jay Panda, Sundargarh MP Jual Oram and BJP National spokesperson Sambit Patra and other senior leaders from the State attended the meeting at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
In the meeting today, the names of candidates for Odisha Assembly elections was also discussed. The BJP is likely to release the first list of its candidates for Odisha Assembly elections and three Lok Sabha seats soon, sources said.

On March 24, the BJP announced the names of 18 candidates out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha for the upcoming general elections.
Odisha will vote in the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly polls, which are being held simultaneously, in four phases. The polling will be held on May 13, 20, 25 and June 1.
The votes will be counted with the rest of the country on June 4.
