New Delhi, Dec 19: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan rushed to the RML Hospital here to assess the health condition of senior BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, who sustained multiple injuries after alleged 'push' from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi outside the Parliament on Thursday.

Several Union Ministers and BJP MPs also visited the RML Hospital and took a stock of Sarangi’s health.

After meeting Sarangi, Pradhan strongly condemned the behaviour of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha.

“Will Rahul Gandhi ever grow up? The Parliament is not his personal fiefdom. His arrogance, sense of entitlement and feudal behaviour today has caused grievous injuries to elected MPs and has put life in danger. Strongly disapprove his behaviour and tantrums. No amount of condemnation is enough for his juvenile act. The least he owes is an apology,” he posted on X.

Sarangi was experiencing heavy bleeding and he had suffered a deep cut. He has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the RML Hospital, sources said.

The 69-year-old BJP MP alleged that he was injured after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed another MP, who fell on him amid ongoing protests between INDIA bloc and BJP MPs in front of Makar Dwar outside Parliament.

"Rahul Gandhi pushed a member of Parliament who fell on me after which I fell down. I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who then fell on me," Sarangi told reporters.

Sarangi is a Member of Parliament from the Balasore constituency in Odisha, representing the saffron party. He served as the Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying during the second tenure of Narendra Modi government.
