DGP YB Khurania To Visit Bhadrak Today

Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania is scheduled to visit Bhadrak on Tuesday to take stock of the situation that has arisen due to a controversial social media post, in Bhadrak and Dhamnagar.  

The DGP is likely to visit affected areas and review the situation with senior officers. 

So far, 27 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. While 10 people were arrested from the Old Bhadrak Bazaar area, 17 were apprehended from Dhamnagar. The number of arrests may increase further. 

To bring the situation under control, the administration has suspended internet in the two affected areas. 
The police have started a search operation to nab the main accused Firduos. 

Police are in full action mode to control the situation and punish all culprits.
