Cyclone Dana: Orissa HC Directs CMC To Remove Puja Pandal Gate Ahead Of Impending Cyclone

Cuttack, Oct 23: The Orissa High Court ordered the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) to immediately dismantle all illegal bamboo and light gates in the city by 2 PM today(Wednesday).

This directive is part of the precautionary measures to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents during impending Cyclone Dana.

The court warned that if the structures are not removed within the timeframe, local police and CMC enforcement teams will dismantle them.

Moreover, the court ordered the municipal authorities to pay special attention to areas prone to waterlogging and take immediate measures to address the issue after the cyclone.
