Cuttack Shame: College Student Blackmailed, Gangraped; Six Arrested

Cuttack, Nov 8: In a shocking incident, a college student has been blackmailed before being gangraped by her boyfriend and his friends here.

The victim registered a complaint at Badambadi Police Station in this connection. Based on the complaint, police have arrested six persons.

As per reports, the incident happened during Dussehra. The victim's complaint says that she celebrated her birthday with her boyfriend at a cafe under the Purighat Police Station.

After the celebration, the boyfriend recorded an obscene video of the victim with the help of cafe manager, who is from Bharatpur area.

The boyfriend and the cafe manager blackmailed the victim with the recorded video. The duo, along with the boyfriend's friends, called the victim to a house in Barang area.

The complaint says that, after the girl arrived at the house, she was gangraped by the accused. Later, the victim registered the complaint at Badambadi Police Station.

On the basis of the complaint, Badambadi Police have arrested six accused and forwarded them to court for further proceeding.
