Cuttack, Feb 21: Cuttack Mayor Subash Singh has landed controversy again. He is allegedly holding a party (BJD) meeting in the name of a government meeting.

It is alleged that he has engaged his PR team in inviting opposition party Corporators to his own grievances cell. In his grievances cell located in his official residence, the Mayor held a meeting with women, SHG members, and youth belonging to Ward 15.

Though he had called people of the ward to listen to their grievances, he didn't call the Corporator of the word to the meeting. This has been reported in the media.

Meanwhile, Corporator Lijaraji Rout has raised an accusing finger at the Mayor. She said the Mayor cunningly held a party meeting with the people of Ward 15 in his grievances cell in her absence. She further alleged that the Mayor is inviting BJD Corporators to these meetings and avoiding Opposition Corporators.

On the other hand, the Mayor has refuted the allegations.

Notably, it has been alleged many times that the Mayor didn't take Opposition Corporators into confidence while passing important proposals in the CMC council.
