Cuttack: Man Arrested For Swapping Elderly People's ATM Cards On Pleas Of Help

Cuttack,  Sept 14: The Purighaat police Saturday arrested a man on the charge of stealing money from an elderly man's bank account by using his ATM card. 

The cheat has been identified as a resident of Andhra Pradesh. 

The police caught the man red-handed while cheating an elderly man by swapping his ATM card with a forged one.  The modus operandi of the accused was that he used to visit ATM counters and cheat elderly persons on the plea of helping them. 
The police seized around 100 ATM cards and some prompt cash from him. 

At least five cases are pending against him at various police stations in the city, said DCP Anil Kumar Mishra.
