Cuttack: Hyva Runs Over Bike, Woman Killed, Brother-in-law Critical

Cuttack, Feb 19: In a tragic incident, a woman was killed and her brother-in-law sustained critical injuries as a hyva truck ran over them on the National Highway (NH)- 65 near Rajpath Panch village under the Tigiria police station limits in Cuttack district this morning.

The deceased woman has been identified as Urmila Sahoo, and the injured man as Kanhu Charan Sahoo of Mangarajpur village under Badamba police station.

According to the information, Urmila and Kanhu were travelling to Cuttack from Badamba by a motorbike, while the mishap occurred.

On being informed by the locals, police reached the spot and detained the hyva driver, and sent Kanhu to the nearest Hospital immediately.

The body has been sent to the Athagarh Hospital for post-mertem.
