Cuttack: 1 Killed, 4 Injured During Group Clash At Ganesh Idol Immersion

Cuttack, Sept 11: A clash between two groups during immersion of Ganesh idol left one dead and four injured at Dhurusia village under Khuntuni police station limit in Cuttack district, Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Samal.

According to the reports, a clash broke out between two groups during the immersion of Ganesh idols last night. The altercation turned violent, with both groups attacking each other with swords and knife. The clash became so violent that one was killed and four were injured due to the clash.

The injured were first shifted to the Community Health Centre at Brahmapur and later shifted to Cuttack. One person died while undergoing treatment there. 

Police forces have been deployed to prevent any unrest in the village.
