Curfew Imposed In Baleswar Following Group Clash

Baleswar, June 18: Curfew was imposed in the entire Balaswar Municipality area following a a group clash last night, informed Superintendent of Police Sagarika Nath. 

The decision to impose a curfew was taken at a joint meeting of the district Collector, SP, MP, and the MLA. 

The SP also informed that internet availability was suspended in some sensitive areas within the municipality to curb the prevailing tension. As many as 43 platoons of police force have been deployed in the municipality area, said the SP. 

Informing that 34 people belonging to both communities have been detained, Nath said the situation has remained under control.
