Sundargarh, June 29: Woman Sarpanch staged protest framing corruption charges against the Block Development Officier (BDO) accusing the BDO of wrongdoings in the name of 'Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha' scheme.

Irani Kishan, Sarpanch of Suidihi village in Lathikata block, has accused that the Lathikata BDO has given cheap quality sports equipment instead of what was promised by the former state government.

"BDO babu has supplied very cheap quality products and didn't even give any bill. The supplied products would worth around Rs 50,000," said Kishan.

Notably, every Panchayat in the state was promised to get sports equipment worth Rs 2,50,000 under 'Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha' scheme.

However, it wasn't the case with Suidihi Panchayat. The promised list of sports equipment and the list of given products do not match at all.

Now the question arises, 'What would be the situation in other Panchayats in the state when this kind of corruption has taken place in Sundargarh, known as the 'Cradle of Hockey'.

Despite BDO' absence Saturday, Kishan has said that she will protest for indefinite period until the problem solves.
