Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: A cold wave swept in Odisha as 16 places of the State recorded minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius and below, informed Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Thursday.
G. Udaygiri of Kandhamal district recorded the coldest night of the season in Odisha as it recorded temperature of 4 degree Celsius.
Other places which recorded temperature below 10 degree Celsius include Similiguda (5.7 degree Celsius), Phulbani (6.5degree Celsius), Kirei (6.6 degree Celsius), Koraput (7.6 degree Celsius), Angul & Daringbadi (8 degree Celsius each), Rourkela (8.3 degree Celsius), Keonjhar (8.4 degree Celsius), Sundargarh (8.6 degree Celsius), Bhawanipatna, Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur (9 degree Celsius each), Ranital (9.1 degree Celsius), Sonepur (9.7 degree Celsius) and Balangir (10 degree Celsius).

The people of the State Capital, Bhubaneswar experienced a night temperature of 12.4 degree Celsius, whereas Cuttack city recorded 12.8 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Centre said that the cold condition in the State will continue for the next few days.
