Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi set out for a six-day Singapore visit on Saturday morning. He is scheduled to attend an investors' meeting to attract foreign direct investments (FDI) to various sectors in Odisha.
A team of senior officers has accompanied the Chief Minister.
"Odisha is going to be the first choice for investors from all over the world. We will have a clear message in Singapore that Odisha is ready for investment," said the Chief Minister.
He said his government would try to increase investment and employment opportunities in Odisha.
Large companies produce chemical, green energy, clothes, ships, logistics, and electronic articles in Singapore. We will talk to the top leaders of the companies, said Majhi.
The Chief Minister said his team would apprise the leaders about the pro-industry atmosphere like natural resources, skilled manpower, and developed industrial policy available in Odisha.
"We will invite the top industry leaders to invest in Odisha. We aim to build a developed Odisha and provide employment opportunities to people," he asserted.
He said he would visit some of the world's large companies like Tuas Port, Jurong Petrochemical Complex, and ITEES Singapore.
"I hope our Singapore tour will fetch large investments into multiple sectors like textiles, chemicals, green energy, logistic, ship building, and electronics in Odisha. Large employment employment opportunuties will be created for the youth of our State," said the Chief Minister.
