CM Majhi, Union Education Minister Pradhan Among Leaders To Extend Diwali Greetings

Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were among the leaders, who extended greetings on the occasion of Diwali, Thursday.

"My heartiest greetings to all the brothers and sisters of Odisha on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of light and joy. On this occasion, I pray to Lord Sri Jagannath to remove darkness from everyone's life and give wisdom to all," wrote CM Majhi on his X handle.

Union Education Minister Pradhan also took to X to extend his best wishes on Diwali. "Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali, the auspicious festival of light's victory over darkness," wrote Pradhan.

"May happiness, prosperity and peace reside in your home with the grace of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, and may your life be filled with new enthusiasm and happiness," he wrote further.

Among others, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Odisha Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also extended Diwali greetings.

"This is the first festival of lights after 500 years, after our beloved Lord Sri Ram's return to his home temple in Ayodhya," wrote Oram on X.

"This divine and magnificent form of Sri Ayodhya Dham, illuminated with a wonderful and supernatural aura, is making all of us feel the Tretaya Yug. Today Ayodhya is happy, entire India is proud," he wrote further, adding: "My hearty congratulations and salute to all Sri Ram devotees participating in 'Deepotsav 2024'! Hail Lord Ram! Happy Diwali."

Extending his greetings to the people of Odisha, Dy CM Singh Deo wrote, "Warm wishes to all for a glorious Diwali and blessed Kali Puja! Under Maa Kali’s powerful gaze and the glow of Diwali’s sacred lights, may Odisha and every home be filled with fortitude, peace, and the promise of brighter tomorrows."

"May we carry forward the spirit of unity, honoring our traditions with joy and reverence," he wrote further on X.

Dy CM Parida too greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali. "My hearty greetings to the people of Odisha on the occasion of holy Diwali. The light of Diwali may illuminate your path of life. May this festival of lights bring joy and glory to every family. I pray to Lord Jagannath to bless all the four-and-a-half crore Odias as well as all the humanity," wrote Parida on X.
